Email Us | Descendants of John Har(t)nett According to family folk lore John Harnett came to Newfoundland about 1817 and after an indenture period married the daughter of his employer, Patrick or James Healey of Allan's Island. John and Elizabeth were married about 1824 and lived initally at Allan's Island, later settling at Lord's Cove.
